Dr. Stokes is board-certified in both Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Stokes completed her undergraduate education at Duke University and then attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Stokes went on to compete Adult Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Stokes has also been named a Washingtonian Top Doc in 2019 and 2020.
How It Works
Youth today face an unprecedented amount of pressure and challenges. While the need for psychiatric services grows, there continues to be major shortages in access to psychiatric care across many communities.
Patients that would otherwise be referred for specialist psychiatric care often continue to receive their care in the primary care setting because psychiatric care is delayed or otherwise unavailable.
Child Psych On-Call is an opportunity for Dr. Stokes to provide her clinical expertise as a resource to Pediatricians, schools, and organizations that support youth everywhere along their journey.
Dr. Stokes supports providers, schools, and organizations with either one-time or regularly scheduled consultations.
